Who We Are

Susan Barth is the Founder of CGWC and has over two decades of experience in educating and ministering to others. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and a Bachelor of Science in Holistic Health. She has been teaching holistic health methods, lifestyle modifications, and professional life coaching through adult education programs for many years. Her approach started with creating simple yet engaging curricula, which she then offered to school districts, community centers, groups, and individuals. Susan's clientele has included various Adult Education programs in both Carver and Hennepin County School Districts in Minnesota, Ridgeview Medical Center in Minnesota, Aveda of Queen Creek in Arizona, Anthem Merrill Ranch in Arizona, Cleveland Clinic Indian River County & Scully Welsh Cancer Center in Florida, as well as numerous other community and cancer centers. She has woven her ministry into her teaching, extending it to her hometown churches and community throughout the years. Her ministry work has encompassed pastoral counseling, spiritual direction, bereavement, healing prayer ministry, hospitality, and conducting Bible studies and small groups in partnership with her husband, Randy.
Susan's deep passion and dedication to serving the Lord culminated in her Ordination with United Christian Fellowship in 2001. She continues to provide ministry to others through Spiritual/Pastoral Care at her local hospital, through her business and in her community. To her there is nothing greater on earth than to help and comfort others. Susan acknowledges that in light of ongoing societal changes and the increasing complexity of contemporary challenges, resources designed to assist individuals are often less accessible for a variety of reasons. Consequently, many individuals are unable to obtain the support they require. A significant proportion of these individuals contend with mental health concerns, whether diagnosed or undiagnosed. While Susan is not a Licensed Therapist or diagnostician and does not provide clinical diagnoses, she possesses substantial pastoral counseling and has personally experienced anxiety and depression for much of her life. This background has equipped her to offer meaningful support to others facing similar difficulties. The dysfunctions observed in today's world may stem from underlying mental health issues, or simply from a deficiency in the necessary knowledge and tools to function and thrive effectively. She suggests a Holistic Wellness Assessment along with a variety of integrative methods and spiritual development to improve overall functioning, in conjunction with obtaining proper medical care. She understands that most people seeking assistance primarily need someone to walk along side of them while guiding them on the right path—someone who is compassionate, empathetic, and nonjudgmental. Susan, is a Board Certified Master Mental Health Coach (BCMMHC) specializing in Grief and Loss. She addresses all facets of loss including; death, divorce, health issues, job loss, aging, and more. Her profound compassion aids her service to others. With 15 years of Biblical study, she holds the conviction that pain and suffering can be alleviated by initiating or sustaining a connection with a power greater than ourselves, specifically through God our Heavenly Father. As a holder of a Spiritual Christian Counseling Certification (SCC-C), Susan collaborates with individuals to create a tailored program that helps you explore, refine, or incorporate a relationship with God into your healing journey, enabling you to live life to the fullest. FYI: Future plans for CGWC encompass the establishment of an office space dedicated to providing individuals with a diverse range of Christian support groups, educational classes, and integrative therapies.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all of our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

A WORD FROM THE FOUNDER,
My heart, passion and desire are to know God better each and every day and to share Him with others.  I was born and raised Catholic and always had a deep spiritual connection to God, but it wasn't until I started reading and studying "The One Year Bible," that I began to truly understand who God is and realized the importance of our greatest gift, Jesus Christ.  As a Born Again Christian, I've learned so much by being in the Word. God is loving, merciful and forgiving! Every day I learn something new to place in my heart and on my mind which always enhances my life.  I still have much more to learn, but I always look forward to my daily time with God.  The significance of a relationship with God cannot be overstated. Consider that all relationships are two-sided. If we interacted with our spouse, children, friends, or pets in the way that many treat God today, we would find ourselves alone. Why then should our Creator and Heavenly Father receive any less? With God, you can be assured of never being alone; His love for us is unconditionally profound. Many individuals do not believe the Bible is true, but after reading it 14 years in a row and studying commentary and prophecy, I've never read a history book which is more factual and makes the most sense about this life! These things really happened, are happening and are going to happen. There is nothing to lose by building this bridge, only to gain! I can assure you of this. Many people believe that living a life with God will limit or control them, when actually the opposite is true. When you believe, you can become unhindered from worry, distress and fear. You can relinquish all negative thoughts and emotions. Your life will change completely for the better! It is a transformation you can only understand through the experience.  I know, I have lived with and without Him, and I wouldn't choose any other way. Please join me! Blessings to you, Susan
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, " plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
